Sculpture

Plug-in working in the InSpeckEM software, lets you sculpt the surface of 3D models. Using a 3D ellipsoid brush, the tool lets you pull, push, smooth and erase the model surface. The width, height and transparency of the brush can be adjusted to obtain the desired effects.

Project done in July 2003. It was developed and compiled with Microsoft Visual Studio using the MFC library in C++ to build the User Interface. The plug-in runs under Windows 95-98, Windows NT-2000-XP and uses OpenGL to draw in 3D.

Elements developed by Axialmedia:

  • Started from scratch, we designed everything
  • C++ classes to pull, push, smooth and erase the 3D model surface
  • Function to draw in real time with OpenGL the deformations applied to the 3D model surface and to display the 3D brush
